Hey! So Glad You're Here.

I became a teacher when I was 9 years old when I created a handwriting worksheet for my 4 year old sister on Microsoft Word. Formally, I've been working with at risk communities since 2007 in many capacities: I've been a camp counselor, reading specialist, science specialist, para-educator, games coordinator, mindfulness coach and much more.

 

I studied Biology and Elementary Education at Umass Amherst and Bridgewater State University. I graduated with two degrees in spring 2017 and was hired as a middle school science teacher the following fall.

In my free time, I manage and perform with Beacon Street Band. This cover band performs at private events, corporate events, weddings, and everything in between. In 2018, I wrote, recorded, and managed an original music project called Emily and Jake. We've won awards in New England, played in music festivals, performed on Television and radio.

My current hobbies (they change frequently) are photography and refinishing furniture.
